System 77 (CL) Support and Enhancement
offering Support for the legacy based System77 accounting package — without forced migration
Many organisations continue to rely on the long-running SIRIUS / System 77 inventory and accounting package. This system oftens underpin core operations and, despite its age, continues to perform reliably.
If you are running a System 77 environment today, the pattern is familiar:
The system still does the job
There is a probably a backlog of small issues and improvement ideas
Internal knowledge is limited or has moved on
The long standing support path is winding up in June 2026, after that the current provider would like you to think that you are on your own or must migrate to a new system.
An alternative approach
It is possible to continue operating your existing system safely and effectively, while making targeted improvements over time.
This approach focuses on:
Maintaining and stabilising the current environment
Addressing long-standing issues and irritants
Implementing practical enhancements where they add value
Preserving business continuity while keeping future options open
What I provide

Practical advice on managing risk and planning next steps
Engagements are typically simple and flexible, with a focus on responsiveness and continuity. We are currently supporting active System 77 environments in Australia.
Experience
I have worked directly with System 77 from 1987 until 2008. I was responsible for designing, writing and creating a large portion of the application. I installed over 40 systems ranging from 4 users to 200 users.
I intimately understand how System77 is put together and works.
Understanding of typical code structures and include patterns
Experience working with decompiled environments where source is incomplete
FAQ
Can my System 77 installation still be supported?
Most likely. Many environments continue to run reliably and can be maintained and enhanced without immediate migration.
If I’m on SCO Unix, do I need to migrate off SCO?
Not necessarily. In many cases, systems can be stabilised and supported while longer-term options are considered.
Wont making changes increase the risk of breaking something else?
No, prior to undertaking any significant work, we fully explore all connections to other parts of the system. Together, we ensure any changes we make do not create new sets of problems.
Feel free to get in touch for an initial discussion.
A short conversation is usually enough to determine whether this approach is suitable.
